Science is like Magic !! but real !!!
Science holds our lives together !!!…isn’t it true? Can we imagine our daily life without electricity, fan, home appliances, gadgets……without daily processes of heating, boiling, solar cooking, air cooling ...?
From daily
gadgets to highly automated robots; to complex industrial processes, Science
makes us feel that it is not only an important subject but an integral part of
our lives. Modern day science and technology enriches our lives with knowledge
through interaction, experience and revelation.
28 th
February is celebrated as National Science day to commemorate the of discovery
of ‘Raman Effect’ by Dr C.V.Raman. To mark the celebration of National Science
day, D.A.V. public School Thane, takes pleasure to share the glimpses of
activities, projects, science exploration, colorful integration of science with
art, by our enthusiastic students. Encouraging such activities not only makes
understanding Science joyous, but also ignites curiosity creativity and
innovativeness amongst students.
It is
equally exhilarating for teachers to witness how students have overcome the
present scenario of pandemic, when use of school laboratory is restricted.
Students have made their homes as their mini-lab with the help of their
supportive parents. Teachers guided the students to perform the science
activities, carry out mini projects at home and display them during the online
class.
Interesting demonstration of testing acid -base
substances, bending of light, scattering of light(Tyndall Effect), splitting of
light (rainbow), Models of carbon compounds, DNA model, Human organ system
models, Electric circuits, demonstration of plants and their different processes
were presented by the students of DAV Thane. Students displayed their
creativity in making google jam board, story board related to concepts in
science, and played the science vocabulary games.
The virtual
platform has further created opportunity for us to guide, motivate our students
to learn through the online resources and share their learning. We believe,
through these activities, students not only visualize the phenomenon in science
but realize they do exist beyond the textbook, at their home, schools, gardens,
offices, factories, everywhere. Not only the students familiarize with science
but also popularize it.
Our young innovative minds:

Science is evidence learning., learn by doing and get curious motivated to know these question what, how and why.
ReplyDeleteWe have an outcome for experiments and so we have conclusions and that's why we always learn.
